We have Buddy and Luka to thank for this one.

On May 21, 2022, Emily brought Buddy out to a dog park here in Lubbock. Jacob was there with Luka. The dogs introduced themselves first, and by the time we had the leashes sorted out we were already deep in conversation. Neither of us was in any hurry to head home.

Four years later, the crew has grown. Buddy now has Jacks and Remi to keep up with, and Addison the cat keeps an eye on all three of them.

On October 17, 2026, we're getting married at The Kress, right here in the city where two dogs decided we should meet.
